The Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys are expected to appear Thursday before an NFL arbitrator, who will hear arguments challenging the league-imposed salary cap reductions, according to a Washington Post report. People familiar with the case told the paper recently that arbitor Stephen Burbank is unlikely to make an immediate ruling.

The Washington Redskins have signed their two sixth-round draft picks in offensive tackle Tom Compton and running back Alfred Morris, the team announced in a release. The Redskins earlier signed offensive tackle Adam Gettis, cronerback Richard Crawford and safety Jordan Bernstine.

The Washington Redskins on Saturday signed fifth-round draft pick Adam Gettis, the team announced. Gettis, whom the team selected out of Iowa, signed his contract a day after the team inked seventh-rounders Jordan Bernstine and Richard Crawford, who were the first two draft picks signed to deals. The 6-foot-2, 293-pound Gettis last fall earned second-team All-Big Ten honors.
